What is the minimum rental term?
The minimum rental period is one month.
ACCESS
What are the standard access hours?
6:00 AM – 10:00 PM, seven days a week (including public holidays).
Can customers request extended or 24-hour access?
Yes, extended access may be arranged on a case-by-case basis. Requests must be approved by management.
Is there vehicle access directly to the storage units?
Yes. You can drive directly up to outdoor units. Climate-controlled units require entry through a secondary secured door.
How do customers enter the facility?
• Gate access: personal entry code
• Outdoor units: customer-provided padlock
• Climate-controlled units: secure code access
What happens if a customer forgets their access code?
Contact customer support. After verifying identity, the account holder will be issued a reminder. Access codes will only be given to the primary account holder.
Is the facility open on public holidays?
Yes. Customers can access their units as normal.
Can customers view the facility before renting?
We do not offer in-person tours. Instead, we provide detailed images, layout diagrams, and size guides showing what fits in each unit. Customers can upgrade or downgrade depending on availability.
Are children allowed on-site?
Yes, but they must be supervised at all times.
Are there loading bays?
Yes. Designated parking spaces are provided near units.
Can customers leave their car overnight?
No. Vehicles must leave the facility by 10:00 PM. Maximum parking duration per visit is 2 hours.
Can someone else access my storage unit?
Yes, if they are listed as an authorized person on your account and provided with access credentials/keys.
Can customers sleep in their units?
No. Living or sleeping in units is strictly prohibited.
Can customers store items on behalf of someone else?
Yes, provided you have written authority, list the items in your insurance inventory, and ensure the additional user is added to your account.
Are there lifts or stairs?
No. All units are ground-level.
Are trolleys or carts provided?
No. Customers should bring their own.
Will there be staff on-site during access hours?
Not at all times. Staff are present during core business hours only. For emergencies, contact info@skylinestorage.com.
Are designated parking spots inside the gated area?
Yes.
Will there be signage for loading areas?
Yes, designated areas will be clearly marked.
HOW TO RENT A SPACE
Can customers reserve a unit online?
Yes. Reservations are made online with immediate payment required.
What ID is required?
A valid photo ID and proof of address.
Can customers sign the lease online?
Yes. All leases are electronic for convenience.
How soon can customers move in after reserving?
Immediately, once payment is processed, your lease is signed, and access details are provided.
Are there admin or setup fees?
Yes, we apply a $10 sign-on fee to all units. This is a one-time payment when you register for a unit.
Is a deposit required?
A refundable security deposit may be required depending on unit size. This is usually the price of one month's rent of a unit.
PAYMENT
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit card, debit card, and direct debit.
Are payments due monthly or weekly?
Payments are billed monthly from the date of sign-up.
What happens if a customer misses a payment?
• Reminder sent before due date
• 10-day grace period to settle balance
• After 10 days: late fee applied and entry temporarily disabled
• Continued non-payment may result in unit clearance, in accordance with the signed Customer Licence
Are there late fees?
Yes. Late fees apply after the grace period (details in Customer Licence).
Do customers receive payment reminders?
Yes. Automated email reminders are sent.
Are there discounts for long-term prepayment?
Yes, subject to terms and availability. Contact us for details.
Do I need to give notice when I move out?
Yes. Written notice is required:
• 7 days for standard units
• 28 days for units over 1,000 sq. ft.
• Units must be emptied, padlocks removed, and left in original condition.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. All fees are disclosed upfront. Costs may include:
• Refundable security deposit
• Monthly storage fees
• Contents protection (optional)
• A padlock (if you do not already own one)
Can I access my unit if I haven’t paid my bill?
AAccess is restricted if your account is overdue beyond 10 days. Entry codes will be disabled until the account is settled.

Is there 24-hour CCTV coverage?
Yes. Cameras monitor all entrances, exits, and corridors.
Do customers provide their own locks?
Yes. Customers must supply a sturdy padlock.
Is the facility gated and fenced?
Yes. All access is via secure gate codes.
What security is in place after hours?
After hours, the facility remains secure with locked gates, 24/7 CCTV monitoring, and double-code entry for climate-controlled units.
Are there alarms on units?
No. Individual units are not alarmed, but the facility is gated and under 24/7 CCTV surveillance.
INSURANCE & CONTENTS PROTECTION
Is insurance required?
No, but it is strongly recommended.
Is contents insurance offered as an add-on?
Yes, during checkout. Customers can fill out a contents insurance form and send it to chevette.russell@bmgia.com to receive their direct quote for contents insurance. We highly recommend customers get their own contents insurance.
Can customers use their own insurance?
Yes, but proof of coverage is required.
What is the minimum insurance coverage required?
None. However, most facilities recommend $2,000–$5,000 depending on value of stored items.
PACKING MATERIALS
Are packing supplies sold on-site?
No. Customers should bring their own.
Are free packing materials provided?
No.
Are trolleys or moving carts provided?
No, but all units are ground-level with drive-up access.

Can customers park on-site?
Yes. Drive-up and designated parking available.
How long can customers park for?
Up to 2 hours per visit. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended or for long periods of time.
Are the storage units climate-controlled?
Yes. Climate-controlled units are available.
Can customers add items to their unit over time?
Yes. Customers may update their storage as needed.
What size units are available?
From 5x5 ft (small lockers) to 10x30 ft (large household storage).
What items are not allowed in storage?
No flammables, explosives, perishables, weapons, or illegal items.
Can customers switch unit size after booking?
Yes, depending on availability.
Are toilets available on-site?
No.
Is Wi-Fi provided on-site?
No.
How do customers dispose of waste?
A dumpster is available for paying members.
